Black Laced Red Wyandotte

Black Laced Red Wyandotte Chickens are dual purpose birds. Developed in early America for both meat and eggs. They will on occasion go broody and they make excellent mothers. They work well in confinement or free range and are a great backyard chicken.

Egg Color: Brown

Broody: Occasionally

Mature Weights: 6.5 - 8.5 lbs.

Behavior: Variable - Roosters can be aggressive

Blue Rock

The Blue Rock results from crossing Barred Rocks and Blue Andalusian. These striking birds are monochromatic hens being largely light gray fading into a charcoal head.

Mature Weights: 6-7 lbs

ISA Brown

The ISA Brown Chicken is the epitome of a high production laying chicken. They are also very docile, easy going, and adaptable birds, fitting in with backyard or small farm situations as well as in battery styled high production houses.

Noir Maran

The Noir Marans are a very good layer of rich dark brown eggs ranging from copper to chocolate in color. These hens are largely black with varying amounts of bronze. The roosters are cuckoo.

Oliver Egger

When it comes to appearance - Olive Eggers are a wildcard. They come in virtually any and every color combination. Olive Eggers are F1, meaning First Generation and are bred from Black Copper Marans and Ameraucanas. They lay predominately green eggs.

Rhode Island Blue

Rhode Island Blues are a cross between a Rhode Island Red and a Australorp. This results in a largely slate blue chicken with red hackle and saddle feathers. They are a medium production bird and excellent layer of large brown eggs.

Golden Cuckoo Marans

Golden Cuckoo Marans are a fun twist on your favorite chocolate layer. They are broad, stand tall and just as their name suggests – have a golden and brown cuckoo pattern. They are fair layers of medium-large eggs ranging in color from caramel to chocolate. Golden Cuckoo Marans are an active breed that loves to forage. Chicks hatch with both lightly feathered and clean legs.

Produce 175-200 medium to large brown eggs per year

Broody: Occassionally

Blue Jersey Giants

The largest breed in the American Class the Jersey Giant has appropriately been nicknamed the ‘Gentle Giant’. Although only average layers these birds lay a considerably larger egg than most. Roosters are popular to caponize but these birds have decreased in popularity for consumption due to their slow growth and poor feed conversion. Our Blue Jersey Giants are a gorgeous slate blue with an almost-laced looking pattern.

Produce 150-180 extra large brown eggs each year

Broody: Yes

Mature Weight: 10-13 lbs
